Booking Your Year-End D&D Early: Why September Is the Sweet Spot

If your year end D&D booking is still sitting on your to-do list in September, you're actually right on time — not early. Most companies wait until October or November to start calling around, and by then the good dates in December are already gone. September is the sweet spot: enough runway to plan properly, but early enough that you get first pick of dates, rooms, and menus.

December weekends fill up fast. Between company D&Ds, family gatherings, and year-end celebrations, venues across Singapore get booked out weeks in advance — especially Fridays and Saturdays in the first three weeks of December. If your team's preferred date is a Friday (and let's be honest, most are), you're competing with every other office in the neighbourhood for the same slot.

Booking in September means you're choosing from the full calendar, not whatever's left over. You get your first-choice date, the room size that actually fits your headcount, and time to sort out the details — buffet menu, AV needs, seating layout — without the last-minute scramble.
